Even before it opens, the Hutton Hotel is making its mark on Nashville’s arts scene. The hotel, coming this winter to Nashville’s West End, is owned by Amerimar Enterprises. The high-end boutique will include 248 guest rooms, 13,600 square feet of meeting space and some retail.
In and around the hotel will be art from students of Middle Tennessee’s colleges. The hotel recently held a Student Art Contest, which included more than 175 pieces of art of differing media.
Winners of the $10,000 in scholarships were:
• First place, $5,000 scholarship, Gordon Taylor Hardaway of Middle Tennessee State University
• Second place, $3,500 scholarship, Jennifer Daugherty of Nossi College of Art
• Third place, $1,500 scholarship, Kelly E. Bonadies of Watkins College of Art and Design
