Poetry | “Lyric” by Gina Raye Felts

Gina Raye Felts is a fourth-generation native Nashvillian and a 2009 graduate of Nashville State Community College with an Associate of Arts in Art. She works in various media including textiles, watercolor and, most recently, verse. She is a great admirer of beautiful handmade quilts, embroideries and laces, since these private arts were often intended to show loved ones how much they were cherished. This poem first appeared in NSCC’s Tetrahedra.
